I’m Molly and I like to think of myself as a green eco-friendly type of person. I live in the UK with two hairy companions- one human and one feline. I’m passionate about animal rights, the environment and trying to leave the planet in a decent state for future generations. My recycling bin gets fed regularly, my fridge will only ever contain organic meat and my wardrobe contains clothes that are likely to be second or third hand.
I don’t always practice what I preach. My motivations also include price, convenience and the taste of good food. Sometimes the shops call to me and I want to spend my money on objects that make me smile but I don’t need. I will temporarily ignore my morals at times when it suits me. I am an eco hypocrite.
This is about my journey through life trying to balance materialism with ‘real’ happiness. Making a difference often seems impossible when I think about the real problems of the world. Can my every day decisions really have an impact?
